Project overview

City Steel Corporation delivered a steel structure factory building for Kalyar Replica Limited in Ashulia, Savar. Our team handled the structural design, fabrication at our own factory in Hemayatpur, Savar, and on-site erection, so the client worked with one company from drawing to handover.

Our scope of work

• Structural design: steel frame design and shop drawings prepared by our engineering team.
• Fabrication: all steel members cut, welded and surface-treated at our Hemayatpur, Savar factory.
• Erection: delivery to site and installation by our own erection crew under a project engineer.

Why steel structure for industrial buildings

Industrial buildings need large open floor areas for machinery, storage and material handling. A steel structure gives long clear spans, supports crane and equipment loads when designed for them, and can be expanded or modified later. Because the main members are fabricated in the factory and bolted on site, construction time on site is shorter and quality is easier to control than with cast-in-place concrete.
