Warehouse Construction in Bangladesh: A Step-by-Step Guide from Design to Handover

Demand for modern warehouses in Bangladesh keeps growing with garments, e-commerce and logistics. A steel warehouse built with the right plan can be ready in months, not years. Here is how a professional warehouse project runs, step by step.

The 7 Steps of Steel Warehouse Construction

  1. Requirement and site survey. We study your land, soil condition, access road, storage type, racking height and forklift movement. These decide the building's size, height and door positions.
  2. Layout and structural design. Our engineers design the frames, bay spacing, roof slope and bracing for local wind and seismic loads, following BNBC requirements. You receive drawings and a clear quotation.
  3. Approvals and foundation. Once drawings are approved, civil work begins: footings, anchor bolts and floor slab. Accurate anchor bolt setting is critical for a perfect fit later.
  4. Fabrication. While the foundation is built, columns, rafters and purlins are cut, welded, blasted and painted in our Hemayatpur, Savar factory.
  5. Delivery and erection. Members are delivered in sequence and bolted together by our erection crew, followed by purlins, bracing and girts.
  6. Roofing, cladding and accessories. Roof sheets, wall cladding, skylights, ventilators, gutters, rolling or sliding doors and insulation are installed.
  7. Inspection and handover. We check bolt tightness, alignment and water-tightness, then hand over the building with as-built drawings.
